A reproduction based on the Reole Pattern of Reading Hardware Company, c. 1910. Heavy and dramatic from a time when homes were designed to accommodate such elegance. Brass has been a popular choice for door hardware for centuries, prized for its durability, attractiveness, and craftsmanship.
These door sets are surface mounted. The standard backset provided is 2 3/8 inches, with the option to substitute it with a 2 3/4 inch backset at no additional if requested at time of purchase.
Polished brass is an unlacquered living finish that will naturally darken over time, and slight variations between pieces are normal. All other finishes will not tarnish. For a long-lasting high-shine finish, lacquered brass is available as a custom order.
