Glass doorknobs originated in the early 19th century and gained widespread popularity in the late 1800s and early 1900s, particularly in the United States and Europe. Our Georgian Roped backplates boast solid brass construction, exemplifying exceptional craftsmanship and top-tier quality.

These door sets are surface mounted. The standard backset provided is 2 3/8 inches, with the option to substitute it with a 2 3/4 inch backset at no additional if requested at time of purchase.

Polished brass is an unlacquered living finish that will naturally darken over time, and slight variations between pieces are normal. All other finishes will not tarnish. For a long-lasting high-shine finish, lacquered brass is available as a custom order.
