With the rise of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th and 19th centuries, advancements in manufacturing techniques led to the mass production of brass hardware, making it more accessible to the general population. Throughout the 20th century, brass doorknobs remained a popular choice for both residential and commercial buildings, prized for their durability and timeless appeal.

Each knob measures approximately 2 1/3 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide. The spare door knob set includes two knobs and a passage spindle.

Polished brass is an unlacquered living finish that will naturally darken over time, and slight variations between pieces are normal. All other finishes will not tarnish. For a long-lasting high-shine finish, lacquered brass is available as a custom order.
