The ribbon and reed motif experienced a revival during the neoclassical period in Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Inspired by the classical art and architecture of ancient Greece and Rome, neoclassical designers and craftsmen incorporated the motif into their work, using it to embellish furniture, decorative objects, and architectural details.

The Passage and Privacy sets each come complete with interconnected rosettes and all necessary hardware for convenient installation of doorknob sets. For decorative purposes, our Single and Double Dummy sets feature surface-mounted rosettes. The standard backset provided is 2 3/8 inches, with the option to substitute it with a 2 3/4 inch backset at no additional if requested at time of purchase.
